Beautiful and rare collection shawl in 70% cashmere & 30% silk, titled
"Cavalleria of Stirrups"
Designed by Virginie Jamin and Françoise de la Perrière
Two models, Stirrups from 1964 and Della Cavalleria from 2014, are mixed, mingled and reinvented in this completely modern scarf. Their shared inspiration comes from the collection of Emile Hermès, an infinitely rich set of books and objects, in which the horse is in place.
The fabrics - including excellent examples of 18th- and 19th-century metalworking - are made by artisans from all over the world, from South America to the Middle East, via France and Spain. Surrounded by snakes and chimeras, the harness pieces seen here are inspired by prints dating back to the early seventeenth century.
A perfectly versatile and mixed square that can be a great gift.
There are 2/3 pulled threads that do not detract from the beauty of this shawl especially when it is folded. They are marked with a pencil and justify its very reasonable price.
This shawl is very popular, it is usually more expensive than the purchase.
I want to clarify that the photos are true to reality, although it is brighter and much more beautiful in reality. Any variations are due to the difference in light.
A wonder in any season that can be a great gift!
