Pre-Owned Louis Vuitton Neverfull Tote | JoliCloset

Launched in 2007, the Neverfull has become Louis Vuitton's best-selling tote in less than two decades. The name says it all: a reversible, soft-handled tote with side drawcords that cinch from a Saturday shopping bag into a weekend carry. PM, MM, GM: picking your size

The Neverfull PM (29 × 21 × 12 cm) is the most discreet, ideal for everyday use and shorter wearers. The Neverfull MM (32 × 29 × 17 cm) is the icon: it swallows an A4 file, a MacBook Air and the accessory pouch — and holds its resale value better than any other size. The Neverfull GM (39 × 32 × 19 cm) suits frequent travellers and parents on the move. Since 2014 every Neverfull ships with its detachable flat pouch (the so-called "Neverfull pochette"), now collected as a piece of its own.

Canvases and linings

The Neverfull comes in Monogram with natural Vachetta handles and trim (which patinates with use), Damier Ebene with chocolate handles, Damier Azur in pale blue and Empreinte embossed leather. The interior lining shifted from the original plain beige to seasonal colourways (cerise, fuchsia, ballerina pink, khaki) from 2014 onwards — a key dating clue. Pre-owned vs retail pricing

A new Neverfull MM Monogram now retails above €2,200 in boutique. On JoliCloset, authenticated examples start from around €600-700 for vintage pieces and €1,000-1,400 for recent excellent-condition ones with the original pouch. Value retention is among the strongest in the segment: a Damier Ebene MM bought for €800 five years ago typically resells today in the same range.

Authentication

On Neverfulls produced before 2021, the date code is heat-stamped on a small leather tab stitched along the side seam. Pieces from spring 2021 onwards carry an embedded RFID chip. Our experts check the saffron-yellow stitching, Monogram alignment on the panels, the leather quality of the handles (Vachetta on Monogram, dyed leather on Damier) and the heat-stamped "LOUIS VUITTON Paris made in France" mark.
