Pre-Owned Ferragamo Women's Shoes: Vara, Gancini | JoliCloset
Salvatore Ferragamo women's shoes extend a century of Italian foot engineering: the cork wedge patented in 1938, the invisible sandal of 1947, the Rainbow platform built for Judy Garland, and the Gancini horseshoe bit that has dressed loafers since 1968. Our pre-owned catalogue lists 349 authenticated Ferragamo pairs, from €25 for well-worn classics up to €1,423 for exotic-leather editions, averaging €258 — well below the boutique floor for a new Vara or Gancini.
Vara, Varina, Gancini, sneakers: the stock snapshot
The category is led by the Vara heels (109 pairs) — the grosgrain-bow pump introduced in 1978 with a one-inch heel, still in production today. They are followed by sneakers (74), Varina ballet flats (45), sandals (35), ankle boots (28) and flats (19), led by the Gancini penny loafer topped with the gold-tone bit.
Materials and construction
Ferragamo produces every pair in Italy, in EU half-sizes from 34 to 42. Vara and Varina are cut in smooth or patent calf, suede, and nappa; the sole is leather-tanned or rubber depending on the model. The Gancini loafer also comes in patent, suede and monogram canvas. Cassina and Nima sneakers borrow the contemporary sneaker vocabulary of smooth leather and suede panels.
Authenticating a Ferragamo pair
Gold-tone hardware is the first check: on the Vara, the plate must carry the serif engraving "Salvatore Ferragamo" aligned with the bow, burr-free; on the Gancini loafer, the bit is solid metal with a tight hinge. Inside, look for the "Made in Italy" shank stamp, heel-tip symmetry and an even sole stitch. Our experts clear every pair before listing. Complete the wardrobe with the Ferragamo bags.
