Pre-Owned Versace Shoes - Heels, Sneakers, Medusa | JoliCloset

Versace shoes have written a recognisable grammar out of Milan for nearly fifty years: a cast Medusa head on the vamp, a Greca border running along the sole, a 105mm stiletto heel or the 155mm Aevitas pillar-platform that has supplied the red-carpet soundtrack since 2022. Our selection gathers 127 pre-owned Versace women's shoes between $65 and $2,600 (average $440). Of those 127 pairs, 40 are never-worn-no-tags, 33 excellent, 21 never-worn-with-tags. The vast majority has barely touched the ground.

Versace since 1978: Gianni, Donatella, and the Prada Group era

Gianni Versace founded the house in Milan in 1978 and cemented the Medusa as its emblem in 1993. After his murder in 1997, Donatella ran creative direction for nearly twenty-eight years and defined the house's contemporary silhouettes: the straight-heel pump, the colossal platform, the chunky Chain Reaction sneaker. In 2025, Dario Vitale took over and Versace moved under the Prada Group (acquired from Capri Holdings). Almost everything on this page is Donatella-era production — what you'll find reflects that period directly.

Signature silhouettes: Chain Reaction, Odissea, Palazzo, Aevitas

Three families dominate the catalogue. Heels (35 pairs) include the 85-105mm Medusa pump, block-heel mules and the loafer-pump hybrids Donatella revived — most with a gold Medusa on the throat. Sneakers (34 pairs) cover the Chain Reaction chunky studded-sole trainer, the 2021 Greca Odissea in mesh with Greek-key detailing, and older cleaner court-shoe shapes. Sandals (23) include Palazzo ankle-chain styles and gladiator silhouettes. Add 14 ankle boots, 7 boots, 5 flats and 3 ballet flats.

Materials, construction and sizing

Smooth or patent calfskin dominates — supple enough for fine stiletto uppers. Greca canvas (Greek-key monogram woven in black and gold) shows up on sneakers and selected sandals. Aevitas pillar platforms use a lacquered wood or leather-wrapped block depending on season. Typical retail new: Medusa pump $990-$1,200, Chain Reaction $895-$1,095, Aevitas platform $995-$1,450. Sizes listed here run EU 35-42 (the house tends to run slightly long; half a size down often fits better on pointed-toe pumps).

Authenticating Versace shoes

Four checkpoints. The outsole carries a deep die-cast Medusa — a shallow or blurry strike is the main counterfeit tell. The insole shows a heat-stamped size and, on recent production, a serial. The stiletto is built as stacked leather or lacquered wood — raw plastic is abnormal. On the upper, the gold Medusa must be securely riveted, not glued, and the face details (eye, curls, snakes) must remain readable. Every pair sold on JoliCloset passes expert authentication before listing. Complete the look with a Versace bag or Versace jewellery.
