Gucci Heels

From the Horsebit hardware drawn in 1953 to the logo-heavy pumps of the Alessandro Michele era, Gucci heels have always carried the Florentine house's equestrian signature. Styles to know

The Marmont with its gold GG buckle is the most-searched style — produced as a classic pump, slingback and mule. The Horsebit pump features the metal bit on a pointed-toe silhouette, often in patent leather or suede. The Sylvie family carries the green-red-green Web stripe across a strap. Bamboo-heel pumps (a polished real-bamboo heel) appear seasonally, a direct echo of the 1947 Bamboo bag. A few Dionysus pumps with the tiger-head closure round out the selection.

Materials and sizing

Smooth calfskin, patent leather, suede, velvet, GG Supreme monogrammed canvas and — more rarely — python or crocodile, depending on the season. Heel heights run from a 5.5 cm kitten to a 10 cm stiletto. Sizes mostly cover EU 35 to 41, with occasional 34 and 42. Always check the insole (hot-stamped "Gucci Made in Italy") and the leather outsole, which should keep its original grain on lightly worn pairs.

Resale value
