The Dior 30 Montaigne bag was designed in 2019 by Maria Grazia Chiuri, the first woman to lead the house creatively. Its name pays tribute to 30 avenue Montaigne, the Paris atelier founded by Christian Dior in 1946 — fully renovated and reopened in 2022 across a 10,000 m² site that now houses the boutique, haute couture atelier, gallery, restaurant and patisserie. The trapezoidal flap and antiqued-metal CD clasp, directly inspired by the seal of a Dior perfume bottle, have made the 30 Montaigne one of the most coveted bags of the decade. The 30 Montaigne comes in several formats: the classic flap shape, the Mini, the curved 30 Montaigne Avenue, the East-West with chain and the rigid Box bag.
