Launched in 2010 under Frida Giannini and largely removed from the main collection around 2018 with the Alessandro Michele turn, the Gucci Soho has become a sought-after second-hand piece by default. Its emblematic version, the Disco bag, is a small round-bottomed crossbody with a debossed double G on the front and a hand-braided leather tassel on the zipper. Variants and formats

The Soho Disco is the most-searched version: compact (≈ 21 × 15 × 7 cm), thin adjustable shoulder strap, ideal as a daily crossbody. The Soho hobo offers more volume with two tassels. Leathers and care

The signature leather is Pebbled Leather — a thick, supple grained calf that takes a nice patina without flaking. You'll also find a few suede pieces, rarer smooth calf and a handful of capsules in embossed croc or metallic leather. The hand-braided leather tassel is a key check point: on vintage pieces, verify it hasn't been replaced (length, color and braiding should match the bag). The lining is logoed microsuede.

Resale value

When the Disco was retired from the main collections, its retail price hovered around €980-1,100. Today, on JoliCloset, Disco bags in good condition trade between €350 and €600.
