Pre-Owned Givenchy Horizon Bag | JoliCloset

Introduced in 2015 under Riccardo Tisci, the Givenchy Horizon reworks the bowling-bag template into something more architectural: flat base, flared sides, dual rolled handles, removable shoulder strap. Where the Antigona leans into sharp geometry, the Horizon is its softer, more utilitarian sibling — less of a statement, more of a daily workhorse. Post-Tisci, it has aged well: collectors who want a structured Givenchy handbag without the full gothic-maximalist vocabulary gravitate here.

Tisci-era origins

The Horizon lands at the tail end of Tisci's 2005-2017 run at Givenchy Paris — the Rottweiler-meets-couture decade that rebuilt the house founded by Hubert de Givenchy in 1952. By 2015 Tisci had softened his design language, and the Horizon reflects that shift: a brushed metal G plaque instead of nailhead studs, clean saddle-stitching, a silhouette that reads more travel carry-on than goth satchel. It's one of the last core bags he signed off on before moving to Burberry.

Sizes and materials

The Horizon comes in four sizes — Nano, Mini, Small, and Medium — with the Medium (roughly 33 × 28 × 18 cm) being the most practical everyday pick. Leathers to look for: smooth calfskin for the dressier option, grained calfskin for a more scratch-forgiving daily bag, plus seasonal textured-calf and croc-embossed runs. Interior lining is logo-woven canvas with a zipped slip pocket.

Retail vs. pre-owned value

At retail the Horizon sat between €1,800 for a Nano and €2,500 for a Medium in premium calfskin. Secondhand, authenticated examples typically trade between €600 and €1,200 depending on size, colour, and condition — a steep discount to original retail for a Givenchy bag this well constructed. Our Givenchy catalogue holds over 2,240 pieces across all categories, including nearly 740 authenticated bags, and the Horizon remains one of the rarer finds in that lineup.

How to authenticate

Check the heat-stamped "GIVENCHY PARIS" brand tab on the interior leather, the Lampo-branded double-zip pulls, the even saddle stitching on the handles, and the serial number inside the zipped pocket. The front G plaque must sit flush with no lateral play and keep a consistent satin finish (gold or silver depending on the run).
