Superb square Hermès titled "Winter Gardens" created by Annie Faivre for the collection 2015.
Annie Faivre invites us to a walk in paradise. Evocation of the Garden of Eden, this abundant composition is inspired by green tapestries named verdures, in vogue since the end of the Middle Ages. The art of the garden, that we think born in Mesopotamia, is dedicated to the pleasure of the man. This one orders the nature, folding it to its aesthetic choices. Legendary gardens flourish here, as an invitation to stroll. The Hanging Gardens of Babylon, one of the seven wonders of the ancient world. A medieval maze in topiaries, art of plant pruning. The gardens of the Alhambra of Granada, pure marvel of Islamic art. The Mughal Garden of Taj-Mahal. The gardens of Villa Borghese in Rome, refreshed multiple fountains, or that of Majorelle, in Marrakech. Painter, plant collector, the latter brings together in a place made of shadows and light, species from around the world, discoveries during his travels.
