Hermès PADDOCK Orange

Hermès: Beautiful and rare silk collection square, titled "Paddock" Signed Jean-Louis Clerc in 1955. Reissued in 2004 and 2015, which attests to its success. Jean-Louis Clerc was born in Neufchatel, Switzerland, in 1908. His studies, architecture and fine arts, led him to Zurich, Geneva and finally Stockholm. His style is recognizable among all: the lightness of his line and his way of disseminating the color earns him prestigious collaborations. A horse lover, passionate about the world of racing, he publishes some books including Le Prestige du Cheval. His meeting with Robert Dumas, in 1950, will give birth to a dozen squares. Among them Paddock, living evocation of this meeting place of horses and their owners, jockeys, elegant and punters, before each race. A forest of top hats, some capelines, silk girdles ...
