Description
Hermès: Beautiful silk collection square, titled "Zebra Pegasus"
Drawing by Alice Shirley 2014
Graduate of Saint Martins and Prince's Drawing School in London, Alice Shirley collaborates regularly with the Natural History Museum of the city. At the same time seduced by the myth of Pegasus and the indomitable character of zebras, Alice Shirley reinvents the legend and takes her on a journey, to southern Africa. The heavenly mount of Zeus, which caused the spring of the muses to blow out with a hoof, and that the king of Gods changed into a constellation, abandons the immaculate whiteness that is usually attributed to him to adopt the two-color coat of his equine cousins. And to perfect this new portrait, exotic, its wings take the shimmering colors of parrots! Has he acquired, by the magic of metamorphosis, the speech ? No one knows it ... rarely meets in these bright colors that harmonize wonderfully and I do not describe so much they are obvious. Versatile and mixed, they will be worn on jeans as well as on a dressy outfit.
