Pre-Owned Louis Vuitton Noé Bag | JoliCloset
The Noé is one of the oldest Louis Vuitton bags still in production: commissioned in 1932 by a champagne producer to carry five bottles at a time (four upright, one inverted in the centre), it effectively invented the leather bucket bag silhouette. Ninety-plus years later, JoliCloset lists over 840 authenticated pre-owned Noé bags across the Grand Noé, Petit Noé and NéoNoé sizes.
Grand Noé, Petit Noé, NéoNoé
The historical Grand Noé (26 × 34 cm) is the original size, drawstring-closed and worn over the shoulder. The Petit Noé (22 × 26 cm) is the most-searched everyday format on the resale market. The NéoNoé, launched in 2017, modernises the shape with two slip pockets, a textured shoulder strap and contrasting linings (cerise, khaki, navy). The Noé BB turns mini for crossbody wear. Compare with our Bucket and Montsouris selections.
Canvases and leathers: Monogram, Epi, Damier
The Noé comes in Monogram canvas with natural Vachetta base and drawcords, Damier Ebene with chocolate leather, and brightly coloured Epi leather (black, red, mimosa yellow, indigo) — Epi itself was launched on the Noé in 1985. Vintage Epi pieces are now among the rarest and most collected. The NéoNoé adds contemporary materials: Empreinte, By the Pool and bicolour editions.
Pre-owned vs retail pricing
A new NéoNoé MM retails above €2,000 in boutique. On JoliCloset, authenticated Petit Noé Monogram pieces start from around €350-500, vintage Grand Noé Epi sits between €400 and €700 depending on the colour, and recent NéoNoé bags in excellent condition trade in the €1,000-€1,500 range. Discontinued Epi colourways (mimosa yellow, lime green) actively gain value on the secondary market.
Authentication
On Noé bags produced before 2021, the two-letter four-digit date code is heat-stamped on the reverse of a small leather tab stitched to the lining or to the base. Pieces from 2021 onwards carry an embedded RFID chip. Our experts verify stitching regularity, the condition of the drawcord (typically the most worn part), the "LOUIS VUITTON Paris made in France" stamp and Monogram alignment along the base.
