Sizes: Palermo PM, MM and GM

Three formats. The Palermo PM (29 × 22 × 13 cm) is the most common, a daily size that works in hand or crossbody thanks to the strap. The Palermo MM (35 × 25 × 15 cm) takes A4 and works as a working bag. The Palermo GM (40 × 28 × 17 cm), rarer, is the large tote. All three share the removable adjustable shoulder strap — a key selling point at launch.

Monogram canvas and vachetta cowhide

The Palermo is mainly produced in coated Monogram canvas, with vachetta cowhide trim on handles, the rim and the base. The honey patina is part of the model — on vintage pieces it is expected and not a defect. Pre-owned, check the handles (regular wear point), the strap-to-body junction, zip function and the interior fabric lining.

Pre-owned pricing and value

The Palermo is no longer produced, so it now trades at an excellent quality-to-price ratio. Expect from roughly $400 for a Palermo PM in good condition and $700 - $1,000 for a very-good MM or GM. Mint-condition pieces with original strap and unblackened vachetta are the most sought after. The model's exit from production has stabilised pricing in recent years.
