Pre-Owned Burberry Scarves - Nova Check Cashmere Authenticated

The Burberry scarf is the most quoted object in the house's archive — a 200 x 30 cm rectangle of cashmere woven at the Elgin mill in Scotland, fringed at both ends and dyed in the Nova check. Variations have included monogram wool-silk blends, jacquard TB patterns and solid-colour cashmere, but the classic Nova check camel remains the most searched of all Burberry accessories. Our 104 pre-owned Burberry scarves cover the full vocabulary, from 1990s 100% cashmere to contemporary Daniel Lee TB-patterned blends.

Most pieces are the full-size muffler rectangle; for the square carré shape see the separate silk scarves section (133 pieces). A Burberry-cashmere scarf typically carries a specific label stack — outer woven tag, inner composition label, and Made in Scotland stamp when produced at Elgin. Fringe length should be 7 cm, twisted not cut. Our condition breakdown here is favourable: 143 never-worn-no-tags, 48 Excellent, 45 Very Good, 58 Good, 24 still tagged.

Three weaves dominate. 100% cashmere Nova check — the core weight, soft with a visible twill; wool-silk monogram — lighter, shinier, graphic TB pattern; and lightweight cashmere solids in archive tones like charcoal, ivory and the house camel.

Our authentication verifies the weave register (the camel-red line spacing is the key Burberry tell), the cashmere quality by hand and visual inspection, the fringe construction, and the matching of all internal labels. Pieces produced in Scotland show a distinctive selvedge edge.
