Act III Scene I The clearing drawn by Edouard Baribeau
The secrets of an always interesting object!
The name of this drawing is straight out of A Midsummer Night's Dream. Written by William Shakespeare at the end of the 16th century, this marvelous comedy plays with the disorders caused by romantic feelings. young lovers, theatrical troupe, fairies and elves of a magical forest meet and mingle in incessant twists. Under a moonlight, Titania, queen of fairies whose eyelids have been impregnated with a love potion, falls madly in love with Bottom, comedian transformed into a donkey. In this scene, Édouard Baribeaud pays homage to Baroque theater, to Indian miniature and early cinema.
