Hermès MYTHS and METAMORPHOSES

Superb and rare square Hermès titled "Myths and Metamorphoses", created by Annie Faivre in 2014.

This long poem inspired Ovid(1er siècle off. JC) by ancient myths, turns men into animals, in plants, in minerals ... The Greek myth tells a journey of Zeus and Hermes. The rich inhabitants of the visited region refuse them hospitality, only this old couple, poor and pious, welcomes them. The country will be devaconditiond, but Philemon and Baucis, transformed into trees, will be spared forever ... Annie Faivre, with the talent that characterizes it, mixes this story with a few myths of which she is the free interpreter, attributing to Pegasus butterfly wings, representing the Gorgon Jellyfish in sea anemone.
