Unveiled in December 2008 at Karl Lagerfeld's Paris-Moscow Métiers d'art show, the Coco Cocoon broke with everything Chanel had produced until then: no leather, no interwoven chain — just a puffy, ultra-light quilted nylon. A full decade before the puffer jacket became a luxury silhouette and gorpcore took over the runways, the house was already laying the groundwork for technical quilted luxury. Discontinued since 2014, the Coco Cocoon has quietly become a collector's piece. Unlike the Timeless in lambskin or caviar, nylon handles rain, folds into a suitcase, and doesn't show friction marks — a decisive argument for a travel or everyday piece.
